Weeding

November 22, 2007 at 1:51 pm (Grass, Uncategorized)

Honey, I weeded the garden today. It looks much better now that most of the thorns and withered flowers have been thrown away. Still, some plants are worth a little bit to me, and i just locked them up, alright? Sorry for all the trouble I’ve caused dear. Love you.

How many now?

September 30, 2007 at 7:57 am (Grass, Roses, Uncategorized)

I wonder how many posts I have. When did I first blog? I think it should be 2 years now…

Starting off
slowly but
speeding up
gradually,
in my arms
she is as
light– as
air…
A delight-
ful smile plays
on her sweet
countenance.

I lose my-
self in those
mesmeriz-
ing eyes…

Around and
around we
travel the
floor,
wrapped up in
our private
world of a-
mour…

Her feet step
lightly as
she leads me
on,
let this dream
never end,
joyously
weaving–
fairy tale,
almost real–

Poet’s whim.

Oh I likes

September 23, 2007 at 10:27 am (Grass, Uncategorized)

I likes this song, y’all!

Plain White T’s “Hey There Delilah”

Hey there Delilah, what’s it like in New York City?
I’m a thousand miles away but girl tonight you look so pretty,
yes you do…
Time’s Square don’t shine as bright as you,
I swear it’s true…

Hey there Delilah, don’t you worry about the distance,
I’m right there if you get lonely, give this song another listen,
close your eyes…
Listen to my voice, it’s my disguise,
I’m by your side…

Oh, it’s what you do to me, oh, it’s what you do to me…
Oh, it’s what you do to me, oh, it’s what you do to me,
what you do to me…

Hey there Delilah, I know times are getting hard,
but just believe me girl, someday I’ll pay the bills with this guitar,
we’ll have it good…
We’ll have the life we knew we would,
my word is good…

Hey there Delilah, I’ve got so much left to say,
if every simple song I wrote to you would take your breath away,
I’d write it all…
Even more in love with me you’d fall,
we’d have it all…

Oh, it’s what you do to me, oh, it’s what you do to me…
Oh, it’s what you do to me, oh, it’s what you do to me.

A thousand miles is pretty far, but they’ve got planes and trains and cars,
I’d walk to you if I had no other way…
Our friends would all make fun of us, and we’ll just laugh along because
we know that none of them have felt this way…
Delilah I can promise you, that by the time when we get through
the world will never ever be the same,
and you’re to blame…

Hey there Delilah, you be good and don’t you miss me,
two more years and you’ll be done with school, and I’ll be making history
like I do…
You’ll know it’s all because of you…
We can do whatever we want to…
Hey there Delilah, here’s to you,
this one’s for you…

Oh, it’s what you do to me, oh, it’s what you do to me…
Oh, it’s what you do to me, oh, it’s what you do to me,
what you do to me, oh…………

I promised you a post

February 26, 2007 at 8:35 pm (Grass, Uncategorized)

Net connection’s been really frustrating lately. One second it’s fine, the next second, i’m offline. See why i’m going bald? =P kidding. So, CNY came and went, I’m not really any richer… the money goes into the bank anyway. But if it didn’t, i’d probably be 400+ richer. kinda big number… =) lucky me. Speaking of lucky… nahhhh, i don’t have to say it. those who know, know. those who don’t, but see me often enough, will know. those who don’t see me and can’t be bothered to ask, probably couldn’t care less whether they know or not. So there.

You know, the other day I was walking home and thinking about my dreams… I used to have dreams where i would just use a little bit of strength to jump, but end up floating a long way up before falling back down. Kind of like those martial arts thingies. I just don’t have them anymore. I wonder when was the last time I had one of those floating dreams… Strange how it suddenly popped up. Normally I tell people I don’t dream, because 90% of the time all I remember is blackness. But these floating dreams… Why do I remember them so well? But it’s a little bit scary.. I think I have mild fear of heights. But then i’m supposedly “flying” which is something not everybody is familiar with, unless it involves a plane and some other safety harness or whatever. Could be how parachuting would feel like. =D

I guess finally, all I have to say is this: I’m very happy, because of you. The details don’t matter here, i’ll whisper in your ear when we meet. And we’ll walk to nowhere in particular, and talk about nothing in particular, and still feel like a million bucks. =)

Camera

February 17, 2007 at 11:31 am (Grass, Uncategorized)

He saw her as far as the gate, and gently bade her goodbye, smiling as he did so. He continued to smile after she was ou tof sight, warmed by the afterglow of her company. It was not until he got on the bus home did he realize that she still had the camera. Like wind through smoke, it chased away the last of his pleasant feelings, only to replace them with a mild panic. Father would put him through mental torture if he found out. Horrific visions of him being severely lectured or shouted at stopped his heart for a full second. Then the problem solver in him took over. How to generate and execute a believeable scenario that would enable the retrieval of the precious camera without his parents knowledge? After a few moments, a crude plan formed. A reverse of the actual situation. She wanted her stuff back! Great. They couldn’t challenge the urgency of the situation, and he’d have a reason to meet her. The item in question… How about a pendrive? Good. Where to meet? College? No, wait, her house was better. But he couldn’t say that… College then, to them, but on his own, he’d take a bus down to her house.  Perfect. 2 hours was all he needed. A quick trip there and back, and everything would be as normal.

Then he got home. Yup, she’d realized about the cam too. He went through the story again. He’d accidentally taken her pendrive, and there was important stuff in the drive that she needed, so he had to return it to her. In reality, he’d pass her his pendrive (with her pictures in it, the ones from thaipusam.) then get the cam from her at the same time. That way, he’d be killing two birds with one stone. Okay. All that was left was to put the plan in action. And there Murphy’s Law interfered, as always. Mother said,”Sure, we’ll drop you off at college, it’s on the way.” and then “Where does this friend of yours live anyway?” He hadn’t mentioned that the friend was a she. (Mother guessed anyway, when he tried to suggest going alone, to ’spare them the trouble’) Why oh WHY did Puchong have to be on the way to Kajang? This was horrible. They’d see her passing the camera to him and they’d know and everything would fall apart, he’d be exposed, the plan would fail completely! It made him dizzy. IT was some time before he came up wth a solution. But only if her gate was automatic…. He explained it to her, and that was that. He could only hope for the best.

Imagine his elation when, upon arriving at her house, he found that the small door beside the gate was set quite deep into the wall, such that standing in front of the gate, he would be somewhat shielded from his parents eyes. And then they drove ahead of the house to make a U-turn! Amazing! Smoothly, he took the camera from her, thoughtfully wrapped in a plastic bag to hide its true nature, and passed her his pendrive. The camera went into his pocket just before the car reappeared. The operation was a success.

Of pearls and patience

February 12, 2007 at 2:18 pm (Grass, Uncategorized)

Oysters are tough things. Try prying a live one open with your fingers. No, the professionals use knives. Of course they do, but the oyster doesn’t like it. I wouldn’t like it either if you pried me open with a knife without my consent. So how do you get an oyster to reveal her thoughts, the pearl inside? You wait for her to open up. Patience has never been a greater virtue.

He was stomping around the cottage, grumbling as he fixed up the windows, the pipes, just general maintenance. After all, seeing as he was the only one who lived there, it would be entirely his fault if he spent another cold night in the cottage. He was done in a few minutes. Finally. He let out a satisfied sigh. Then a thought seemed to strike him, and he frowned as he studied the angle of his shadow. It was about time. She should be home. That brought a smile, and a change of clothes later, he was off to see her.

She was applying the final touches of makeup when she heard the brisk knocks on her front door. That pattern… knock-knock-knock-pause-knock-knock-knock. Oh! It was him! Calmly, she walked to the door and invited him in. They made small talk, but soon she said she had to cut the meeting short, because she was expected at an aristocrat’s party. The occasion was Valeshine’s Day, or Lover’s Day, as the villagers sometimes referred to it. It wasn’t such a big thing, but she loved parties. If only he was richer, that he could take her to all the parties she wanted to go to! It weighed on him like a rock. But all he said was, “I’m sorry I couldn’t take you there.” She replied softly, “It’s okay, I know you can’t go.” And then it was time for her to leave. A whirl of skirts, a last breath of her perfume, and she was gone. But just before she stepped onto the carriage, she looked straight at him, smiled and said, “Take care.” He stood there for a moment, then sighed and walked back to his cottage, oddly hopeful, for she didn’t seem to think any less of him for his poverty. That was something, and it made him smile the rest of the way home.

Happy birthday

February 9, 2007 at 2:18 pm (Grass, Uncategorized)

That happens to be the title of a rather romantic, if a little confusing, Hong Kong movie, starring Gu Tian Le and Liu Ruo Ying. And I watched it! Don’t want to spoil the experience for you, so in the words of J, “It’s about a guy and a girl.” ;) I don’t know about you, but I find it quite a touching story and wouldn’t mind re-watching!

A smooth day, from my POV… Bumped into Pek Yi at FOS, a very omg moment. Long way to go yet. Walk with me.

Blood and Chocolate

February 4, 2007 at 12:20 pm (Grass, Uncategorized)

Went to 1U yesterday to catch a movie. Kee, Ray, Bing, Me. Like all guys, no planning was made, so we basically walked to the cinema and took a vote. I went early, initially just hoping to kill time, but then i saw that it was up to me to check out prices, eating places etc. hehe… Anyway, result is we went to TGV for Blood and Chocolate. Nice poster, wolves and a girl amongst them, but sadly no action, which was really what we all expected. However, I can’t complain, I like the show, very human. Shall I give spoilers? No, I think not. But for curious people, I suggest googling ‘loup garou’ and see where your search takes you. I didn’t quite get the ending though, but I guess it could count as a twist. =) That’s it for the movie. A little flashback here.. day before i went to watch the movie, Maryanne and her sis were also with me at GSC. they were toying with the idea of watching a movie, lol. The title “Blood and Chocolate was quite intriguing, so we talked a bit about what it was supposed to mean. Maryanne came up with an interpretation i found rather true. Blood for violence, Chocolate for romance. Go figure. Sensitive types always get it, don’t they. Sensitive types. Speaking of which, Jessy was there too that day. French class in Damansara area, so coming to 1U was made more convenient. MUCH more convenient, I believe. Even though she knew she had to take the bus home, she came anyway. No time limits either! So basically she spent the time from 5+ to 9+ with us guys. Went shopping, she bought a nice shirt from Bodyglove.. so did the guys… Ray got a couple more shirts from Radioactive! Look forward to his new look… Kee didn’t manage to find the shorts he wanted though, sadly.. Bing got pants, I think… and air freshener from Giant. lol. We also walked around a bit in… Toys ‘R’ Us! Go on, you know you wanna O_O. Ok, done? Read on… Kee wanted to find Warhammer, but no luck. Bing, however, got his Gundam model. Ray was tagging along. Me and Jessy? We were tagging too. Jessy was so bored, she kept ‘practising’ her anime dubber voice. Yes, yes, you could be a good dubber, Jess, but too much is too much… I don’t remember whether we had dinner before or after Toys ‘R’ Us, but it was at Subway. Good subs! Subway is gooooood… And then we basically went home. Thanks guys for a great time. Thanks to our special guest that day, you’re my cherry (cherie?) on top of the ice cream. ;-) La vie est belle, mes ami… till the next post, then!

work

December 22, 2006 at 6:01 pm (Cacti, Grass, Uncategorized)

Interesting thing about work. Seems like every day I meet someone interesting. Mostly it’s friends. People I know or knew… Every so often I hear myself saying “You look familiar.” haha. And I think of you. I remember you told me you looked for the interesting in the everyday. You were always friendly… So you could say I learnt from you. Somewhat. Here comes the pain again. Never the same, never the same…
